Canopy Credit Union partners with Ladder Coffee Roasters to complete their Spokane Valley Branch

Providing all members of the community with a comfortable and convenient space has been Canopy Credit Union’s mission since they became the owners of their Spokane Valley Branch at 13105 E Sprague back in June of 2018.

Canopy’s 3,588 square-foot branch that opened in September features an open floorplan with room for an additional partner. The credit union has been on the lookout for a local business that would nurture a harmonious atmosphere and complement Canopy’s strong commitment to serving the community.

President and CEO of Canopy Credit Union, Charlotte Nemec, recently reached out to Founder and Owner of Ladder Coffee Roasters, Aaron Rivkin, because of their shared values; serving people no matter what stage of life they’re in.

“After my first meeting with Aaron, I came back to the team beaming with excitement about how well our mission aligned with Ladder’s. I was inspired by Aaron’s story and how he envisioned Ladder’s impact on the Spokane community,” said Nemec.

Rivkin is keenly aware that not all coffee shops nurture an approachable gathering place, particularly for people who have fallen on hard times. After a yearlong incarceration and two felonies, Rivkin knew there was more to life than how he was living and that his story could help shift people’s perspective on how life could turn out.

“Ladder doesn’t just serve coffee – we serve community. When people walk in our doors they’ll feel comfortable and welcome. They’ll know their order will be crafted with care and quality – whether it be a drip coffee or one of our fun options like our brown sugar and clove latte. We can’t wait to share this unique coffee experience with Spokane Valley,” said Rivkin.

Ladder’s new 1,200 square foot store in Spokane Valley will provide an exceptional coffee experience whether people are there for business meetings or just a quick pick-me-up at their drive through. They will be open seven days a week with five to eight staff members making this one-of-a-kind coffeehouse.

“This collaborative partnership will create a one-of-a-kind space where you can grab a delicious cup of coffee and take care of your finances all in one outing. We look forward to this exciting new chapter for Canopy, Ladder and the Spokane Valley community” said Nemec.

Ladder Coffee Roasters will be opening their new location this December.
